About KSMU

Established in 1974, Kemerovo State University (KemSU) has evolved from a modest provincial Pedagogical College to become one of Siberia’s largest academic institutions. Witnessing several developmental phases, KemSU has consistently held the position of the primary Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Kuzbass. Notably, in 2017, it garnered recognition as the flagship university of the Kemerovo region and, in 2018, secured a place among the TOP-10 flagship universities in Russia.

Consistently featuring in the TOP-100 rankings of both Russian and international assessments, KemSU is celebrated for its popularity. Boasting modern research and educational laboratories, the university hosts over 20 research schools. KemSU plays a pivotal role in facilitating internships and job placements with leading companies in Russia and beyond.
